About us

Mission:

The Salvation Army is a Christian organization that gives hope and support to vulnerable people in 400 communities across Canada and in 131 countries.  The Salvation Army exists to share the love of Jesus Christ, meet human needs and be a transforming influence in the communities of our world.

Core Values:

Hope – we give hope through the power of the gospel of Jesus Christ.

Service – we reach out to support others without discrimination.

Dignity – we respect and value each other, recognizing everyone’s worth.

Stewardship – we responsibly manage the resources intrusted to us.

We live out this mission and these values in Lethbridge and South Western Alberta through our integrated mission.  We are a Church, Community and Family Services provider, Thrift Store, Emergency and Disaster Services and Food Bank in Fort MacLeod.

Major’s Don and Donna Bladen have been in ministry with The Salvation Army for over 20 years.  They have had various experiences from pastoring congregations, police chaplaincy, administration, serving on Emergency and Disaster Services teams in Canada and Internationally and everything in between.  Presently Major Don serves in Lethbridge as The Community Ministries Officer and Major Donna serves as the pastor/corps officer.  They are both passionate followers of Christ with a desire to walk along side others offering hope, healing and help.  As parents of four grown children and one grandchild they understand the balance and challenges in family life. They both enjoy being outdoors; gardening, hiking and biking are a few of their hobbies.
